On Sunday, the ‘Juniors On The Move’ Event was held at the Bega Country Club with junior golfers from as far as Wagga Wagga attending. The event was broken into nine holes for the more experienced juniors and five holes for the juniors starting out in the sport. Luke Grinham a professional from the Jack Newton Junior Golf Association has been co-ordinating with Wendy Hergenhan , Women’s Captain, to stage the event.

The aim of the day was to allow better golfers to experience another course and improve their skills while the newer junior golfers were able to be introduced to playing in a competition and develop their skills while doing so. But above all, the day was to allow young golfers have fun playing golf.

Thanks goes to Luke Grinham and his apprentice trainee,  Wendy Hergenhan, and the parents and volunteers who walked the course with the juniors encouraging and helping them develop their skills and enjoyment of the game.
